Shea butter – known as the "African gold" of West African peoples – is a versatile product traditionally used to support skin and hair care.

Women of the Dogon tribe applied it to newborns’ skin, while Maasai warriors used it to care for skin after battles.

In the Sahara, nomads relied on it to help protect their faces from scorching sun and sandstorms.

Shea butter is obtained from the nuts of the shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa), which grows in the African savannahs.

According to scientific research, its unique composition includes:

Vitamins A, E, and F, which may help neutralize free radicals, thus supporting the skin’s natural resistance to aging (Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2018).

Triterpenes, known to help maintain skin elasticity by supporting collagen production.

Phytosterols, which may help protect collagen fibers and support the skin’s natural response to inflammation.

Oleic and stearic acids, which contribute to restoring the skin's hydrolipid barrier and reducing moisture loss.

For face and body care:

Hydration and protection: helps support moisture retention even in dry, cold climates.

May help reduce the appearance of fine lines and support skin tone improvement.

May help ease discomfort associated with eczema, dermatitis, or insect bites.

When applied regularly to areas such as hips and abdomen during pregnancy, it may support skin elasticity and reduce the likelihood of stretch marks.

Butyrospermum Parkii Butter

Face: warm ½ teaspoon between your palms and apply with gentle massage in the evening to support skin regeneration.

Hair: apply to ends or full length as a mask for 30 minutes, then wash with shampoo.

Body: use for massaging areas needing extra care.

Lips and nose: apply as a balm to help soothe dry or chapped areas.

After shaving: may help calm the skin.

Post hair removal: may help reduce redness, irritation, and tightness.

Sunburn: may ease discomfort and support skin recovery after sun exposure. To enhance the effect, combine with essential oils (lavender, chamomile) or blend into creams (up to 15%).

Individual intolerance to ingredients is possible.

Not recommended in cases of open wounds or purulent inflammation.

Store in a tightly closed dark glass container at +5°C to +25°C.

After opening, refrigerate and use within 6 months.

If solidified (below +15°C), gently warm in a water bath.

Keep dry and out of reach of children.
