An ancient symbol of longevity and clarity of mind.
In China and Japan, Ginkgo Biloba has been revered for centuries as the “Tree of Life.”
Its distinctive fan-shaped leaves were traditionally used to support vitality, balance inner energy, and maintain youthful strength.
According to Daoist philosophy, ginkgo is believed to harmonise Yin and Yang energy, supporting natural circulation and mental clarity.
In ancient medical texts, it was called the “Golden Healer.”
In Japan, Ginkgo Biloba is seen as a symbol of hope — it is planted near temples as a guardian tree believed to bring wisdom and resilience.
In Korea, warriors used infusions of ginkgo leaves before battles to help maintain calmness and focus.
Ginkgo Biloba is listed in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (中国药典) as an important component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Modern research suggests that Ginkgo Biloba may help:
support balanced blood circulation and normal blood pressure;
contribute to the maintenance of healthy metabolic processes and cellular vitality;
support cognitive performance, concentration, and memory;
help maintain emotional balance and a sense of calm;
support the body’s natural defences and overall wellbeing.
